Youth Forum, a project under Alexis Society was envisaged during the 1st International Youth Forum organized from 24th to 28th June, 2012 in New Delhi. The project aims to create a community of vibrant individuals and provide them a platform to explore and develop their leadership potential, skills, and engage with a variety of cultural, social, economic, legal, and political issues.
Our team consists of young students and professionals who are interested in creating positive social impact by conducting research on policy issues, writing thought-provoking and insightful blogs, designing creative social campaigns, organizing life-changing events, and interviewing leaders and change-makers.
Unpaid, Part-Time & Work from Home Leadership Positions – Minimum 1 Year Commitment
- Managing Editor – for administering the day-to-day operations of the website. This includes planning, assigning, monitoring and editing content on the website & social media; overseeing advertisements, collaborations and editorial calendars; commissioning articles and opportunities from external stakeholders; and policy-making & supervising editorial board members and interns.
- Publishing Editor – for editing, approving, and publishing content; overseeing SEO implementation; legal and ethical compliance; creating and managing the editorial plan and calendar; and managing the writing team (contributors & interns).
- Executive Editor – for organizing, supervising, and participating in the management and development of all the content submitted for publication; coordinating the work of consulting editors and reports their comments to the Publishing Editor; preparing operational reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions; and recommending various personnel actions relating to hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and schedules.
- Editor (Senior/Associate/Assistant) – for Planning, commissioning and editing content on the website; promoting the published articles on social media platforms ie. posting to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter.
- Digital & Social Media Editor – for handling social media marketing activities such as posting to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter; analyzing web analytics data to gauge content performance; and managing subscriptions, syndication, and email newsletters.
- Webinar Series Editor – for managing our Webinar Series’ on end-to-end basis. This includes curating Speakers and hosting them on Google Meet or Facebook Live; building audience & engagement; and getting posters and videos made for promotional purposes.
- Collaborations Manager – for managing collaborations with Brands/Companies, Think tanks, NGOs, Social Movements, Academicians, Professionals, Publication Houses and other stakeholders.
- Human Resources Manager – for hiring & managing interns and campus ambassadors.
- Consulting Editors (Graduates & Working Professionals Only) – for Young Professionals/Qualified Engineering, Medical, Commerce, Management, Science or Social Science Graduates who wish to contribute their knowledge, skills & expertise through blogs and other mediums. There is no fixed time commitment for this role.
