Why Write for Us?
By contributing to Vidhi.org, you’ll be sharing your expertise with potential students and families browsing the website, plus you’ll earn extra exposure as a writer! Our blogs are also shared on our social media channels, and select blogs will be used in email marketing campaigns.
We accept submissions of the following nature:
Policy Reviews:
- The piece should identify and analyse the goals of a policy; and gauge how to improve a policy or the method of realising its goals through reviewing and analysing the topic in detail
- The Policy Reviews must be 2,400 and 2,800 words, discounting references and bibliography
- OSCOLA referencing style should be used in the document. Subjective footnotes are allowed.
Research Articles:
- These are interdisciplinary pieces dealing with various considerations on a single topic
- Research Pieces must be between 1,200 and 2,000 words, not including references or bibliography
- The Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) referencing style should be used in the document. Subjective footnotes are allowed.
- Do NOT write in the first person using words like “I,” “me,” or “my.” Instead, write from the standpoint of an educational and authoritative resource on the topic.
- Articles must be your original work and not published elsewhere on the web.
- Our Editorial Team reserves the right to edit your article, including grammar, spelling, and formatting. Personal information, such as last names, email addresses, and personal websites are not permitted.
- Writing Your Article Before you begin writing, please review the style and formatting guidelines.
- Write to an audience of prospective students of all ages.
- Keep your paragraphs short and break the article into easily-digestible sections (use subheadings to stay organized).
- Include “extras” when applicable. If you are able to provide additional learning tools such as audio files, YouTube links, or images/charts to enhance the post, we encourage you to do so. If you have ideas for additional media but aren’t sure how to execute them, please let us know so we can work with you!
Case Comments:
- These are analyses on various jurisprudence developed and declared by judicial and quasi-judicial authorities. These include judicial orders, case-laws, advisory opinions, and petitions.
- Case Comments must be between 1,000 and 1800 words, not including references or bibliography
- The referencing style adopted by the Indian Law Institute should be used in the document. Subjective footnotes are allowed.
- Referencing of Case-Laws of different countries must be accurate enough.
Events, Calls, Internships and other Opportunities:
- Events and opportunities organized by Colleges, Private Organizations, Individuals (with required credentials at our discretion), and Universities that include the call for papers, moot courts, essay competitions, conferences, workshops, and others can be published on Vidhi.org as a post free of cost. You have to mail us the details of the opportunity according to the guidelines provided.
- You have to mail us your opportunity at write@vidhi.org with Subject – <Name of Organizer/Organization> Opportunity <Title of Event/Opportunity> <Date of Event/Due Date of Opportunity>.
- We will assess all the opportunities sent to ensure that only credible opportunities are published.
- Vidhi does not endorse spam opportunities. If due to any circumstance, any opportunity published fails its test of credibility by proof, then we reserve the right to eliminate the opportunity, and we may restrict the organization/individual concerned to post updates with us in future as a directive.
- Now, every opportunity must contain the following in a proper format:
- Nature/type of organization
- Subject/theme
- Fees of the event/opportunity (if required)/Stipend (if required, in case of Internships)
- Specialization
- Description of the Event
- The number of hires, type of specialization, experience required (in case of internship opportunities)
- Contact Details
- Relevant Links to Get Access to the Website/Document.
